由于在2016至2017年兴起的勒索软件正成为一个日益严重的问题。从媒体的报导上, 我们看到全球数以万计企业与组织(包括政府组织与民营组织) 遭到勒索软件入侵, 很多时候企业通常认为支付赎金是取回数据最划算的办法，但是这些所支付的高额赎金已严然成为下一代更具杀伤力的勒索软件的开发, 并以惊人的速度不断发展。

因此, 我国企业不得不关注这项潜在的危机, 成功的网络勒索者会根据过去的经验开发出新的和不断进化的威胁软件, 造成未来网络上恶意软件越来越加剧。

本会属下科技组与卡巴斯基实验室(Kaspersky Labs)合作, 将提供有关课题醒觉讲座会, 以提升企业(特别是中小型企业) 电脑网络安全系统防护, 协助企业进行网络安全教育、安装反恶意软件工具与经常性备份, 以协助企业建立更为健全的、基于系统级别的科技方案，来保护数据远离网络攻击。
